Panagiotis Gavathas

Aviation Security Operations Director

Panagiotis Gavathas has 24 years of experience in critical infrastructure, airport, and port security. He holds postgraduate degrees that include a DEA in defence and security from Montpellier III and Aix-en-Provence universities, an MBA executive, and an MBA post-diploma from the University of Piraeus. He also holds an IATA Aviation Security Awareness Diploma and a National Defence Armament Planning certification from the Centre for Advanced Studies in Armaments of the French Ministry of Defence. Panagiotis became a member of the ESA in 2017, and since July 2019, he has held the position of aviation security operations director. He served for many years in the Ministry of Defence and at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU. Prior to joining ESA, he served as director of commercial product development at ICTS Hellas.

Nektarios Mouzis

Operational Director of Manned Services

Nektarios Mouzis has a degree in business administration and accounting, while his professional career in the field of manned security guards is extensive. He has been responsible for the operational planning of security services in important sectors such as telecommunications, security of stadiums and sports facilities, as well as industrial facilities. In addition, he has certifications from the Greek Police in terrorism issues, as well as from the Greek Civil Guard in the prevention and response to fan violence and sports venue security. He has been part of the ESA team since 2006, while from 2023 he has assumed the position of Operational Director of Manned Services.

Maria Tsafa

Finance Director

Maria Tsafa has been ESA’s finance director since the end of 2019. She has a degree in financial studies from the School of Law, Economics, and Political Sciences of the Aristotelean University of Thessaloniki, orientated towards the economics of business, and holds an executive master’s in business administration from Athens University of Economics and Business. In the past she has had the position of Accounting Director and Personnel, has managed the accounts and personnel departments in companies within the Latsis Group and has worked as an economist for Deloitte and other private companies.

Andreas Kolouas

Technology Director

Andreas has over 30 years of engineering and management experience in the Digital Technologies, Telco, and Software Development sectors. He has worked for companies like Eleftherotypia, MEGA Channel, Multichoice Hellas (NOVA), FORTHnet, and Intracom as well as for companies outside of Greece. He is also a certified digital forensics investigator of the Athens Court of First Instance. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park and an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Dimitris Papadatos

Critical Infrastructures Operations Director

Dimitris Papadatos has many years’ experience in the security services sector as sales director, and specialises in the field of electronic and physical security. He studied computer programming. He also has many years’ experience in the management of manned security services for large companies in the sector. He has been with ESA since 2022 and is director of operations for critical infrastructure.

Kyriakos Rigas

Technical Director

Kyriakos Rigas holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of West Athens and a post-graduate degree in mechatronics from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. He has worked in research programmes at NCSR Demokritos and has ten years’ experience in E/M studies and the construction of BMS. He has worked in security systems since 2008 and has 5 years’ experience in pre-sales and the design of integrated systems, and 4 years in the project management of large-scale projects with needs on integration. For the last 6 years, he has worked as technical director for companies providing security systems.

Katerina Zeriti

Marketing Manager

Katerina Zeriti holds a degree in Media and Communication Studies from the University of Coventry and a diploma in digital marketing from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has many years of experience in the FMCG sector, having managed many successful marketing projects from design to completion, and has built and developed well-known brands and products for large multinational companies such as Pernod Richard Hellas, Beverage World and Avon Hellas indicatively. She joined the ESA staff in September 2022 as Marketing Manager.
